Is it possible for Science to Become more Adaptable?

Posted by Dr. Paul T. P. Wong on December 8, 2016

George Bernard Shaw was correct, when he said, “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”I have always seen human behaviours as a complex phenomena, which can only be understood and measured through qualitative phenomenological research and multidimensional quantitative research. Such holistic mixed research methodology is costly and time-consuming, but is far better than qualitative alone or quick-and-dirty type of quantitative research of measuring a complex phenomenon with a few simple questions. I still believe that eventually mainstream psychology will adapt to my way of holistic and integrative thinking.
